Details
I was commissioned to design the full festival identity for Queer Arts Leuven, including a logo, flyer, poster, social media assets, graphical elements, and a brand guide to tie everything together. You can see more at the post in my journal!
This project was particularly challenging due to its scale and the short turnaround time, but I thrive under pressure and work best with tight deadlines. The centerpiece of the identity is a custom character I designed: a drag-inspired alien, reflecting the festival theme “To the Moon.” The concept behind the creature was, "We landed on the moon, and the aliens are in drag". The character was modeled in Blender, using a base Mixamo-rigged model that I sculpted and adjusted to fit the vision.
To save time without compromising detail, I used Photoshop's AI tools to add the details, like eyes, chains etc.
Afterwards, I created a festival website in Framer, giving visitors a clear overview of the 3-week program while also sharing more about the festival and its organisation.
